The king's bones discovered under a car park matched the DNA of a distant relative of King Richard 111. So now, he can rest in peace. As said in the song: The Impossible Dream, "My bones will lie peaceful and calm when I'm laid to my rest."

Although songs and poets say otherwise, I'm not sure about bones affecting a deceased spirit.

Let me tell you about my only experience with a ghost.

A month after my second marriage more than 20 years ago, I heard about my son's death. I left my new husband in England and flew to Australia to attend the funeral. When I viewed my son's twenty-eight-year-old body, which had been kept in cold storage for months while the authorities worked out his identity, his perfect features staggered me. Sometimes we don't see these things during everyday life. My first-born and I shared a special, loving relationship, woven from appreciation and trust, despite his wrong deeds.

My husband and I moved to a high-rise flat in a busy town, always hoping for a wonderful home in the country. Kym's picture decorated the hallway as a lasting reminder. Finally, with new jobs, my husband and I left the house during the day. When I arrived home, the picture sat on the floor, facing the front. Puzzling over the cause, I hung the heavy frame on the hook again. Same thing the next day. No damage. Just leaning on the wall. We checked the hook, discussed what could have happened—vibrations, and earth tremor but nothing would explain how the thread could have risen over the hook to release the picture. I prayed, spoke to his memory and ascertained a laugh followed by the words, 'you don't belong here'. We moved to the perfect cottage shortly afterward. The picture sits securely on the entrance wall.

Have you ever experienced an other-worldly spirit?

Very interesting story. There are so many things in life we cannot explain. It sounds like you found peace too. Love the video!

I have had something happen to me when a dear aunt died. There are many things in this life that we don't and never will understand. I'm so sorry to hear about your son.

what an amazing story, the only similar thing that happened to me was just shortly after my beloved Grandmothers death I had terrible flu. I had a very high temperature and my sister, shovelled me into her car and put me to bed at her house. I woke up a day later and she said that from the time she put me to bed, she could smell my Grandmothers perfume and she was convinced that my Grandmother had sat by my bedside all night. Lovely and very moving post.
