Open auditions in the UK are being planned for two lead roles in the next Star Wars Episode VII film. Director JJ Abrams, who is also co-scripting the movie, will not be attending the open auditions which begin in Bristol on 9 November. Casting sessions will start later this week at locations around the UK and Ireland, including London, Dublin and Glasgow.

Other movies have successfully cast secondary actors and actresses through open auditions in the past most notably some of the later Harry Potter films.
Step right up. It's happening now! Casting directors need two lead actors for the film’s latest installment and are specifically looking for a "street smart and strong" orphaned girl in her late teens and a "smart capable" man in his late teens or early 20s. Those at the auditions will briefly meet members of the casting team of the film.

What is it that lures us to fame? Some people just want to be famous. Although that might work in TV shows like The X-factor, talentless people will never get ahead in an acting career. Perhaps some people link notoriety with all that money can supply. People with such low standards quickly fall by the wayside. Rare good actors use their talent as an art-form.
So, are you beautiful, smart, strong and athletic enough to fill the requirements? Fame awaits the bold.
